Turner Uni Drive Doc-Polson-Gear-0615 Gears are Everywhere! About 2 miles Northwest of Georgetown, Grand Cayman and about 50 feet straight down sits the wreck of the Doc Polson. The Doc Polson was a cable laying ship before being intentionally sunk in 1981 to create an artificial reef. The site was named after Doc Poulson who helped get the first hyperbaric chamber on the island.

Pictured above is the main gear on the deck winch.  As you swim up and look at the amazing transformation this gear has underwent you can’t help but think of the craftsmen that created this gear. I think they would be honored.
